Yes I know. I've done plenty of research into the history of nuclear weapons. That was one of the reasons the scientists on the Manhattan Project didn't fell the need to test the design that was used in "Little Boy". It was so simple they were sure it would work. The other reason was they didn't have enough Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) to make two bombs.

Of course the problem with that is producing enough HEU to make the bomb. Refining HEU presents its own series of problems that take time to overcome.

Pakistan and N. Korea seemed to have overcome the problems.

What makes you think that Iran, Syria and Algeria can't?

(There was another article about the CIA suspecting that Syria is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons as well.)
