I didn't realize that "Yeager" Airport in Charleston was named for Chucj, until you brought it to my attention.
Frankly, I'm a Scott Crossfield fan of the X-15 test jets. He was MY man, my hero.
All the articles I saved about space flight - well, it was what was available at the time, - I never noticed Chuck Yeager's name. I know - I know, to some folks, this is heresy. But that's what I knew.
