Offended Arabs apply here
Ledger-Dispatch (CA) ^ | 7-02-04 | Gordon Kirkwood-Yates

For three issues running, readers took shots at my American Christian/anti-Islamofascist stand. I thought I’d let that trend play out before responding.

Mr. Helmle offered cliches and said I need a history book. Mr. Hearn complained I offend Arabs and wants me shut down. Mr. Corner paraded an argument that, step after step, was as wrong as two left shoes. He quoted the Koran hoping to prove it a book of peace. To all I offer the following.

Surah 48.29 states: “Muhammed is God’s Apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another.”

The Koran institutionalizes racism. In Surah 5.60, Muslims are told that Allah made the Jews “apes and pigs.”

Surah 5.51 tells Muslims to befriend no Christians or Jews and if one does, “he is one of them,” an unbeliever, an idolater. Of idolaters Surah 9.5 says, “So when the sacred months have passed away then slay the idolaters wherever you find them and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush.”

The seventh century governor of Iraq, Hajjaj, tells us, “The Great God says in the Koran: ‘O true believers, when you encounter the unbelievers strike off their heads.’ The above commandment of the Great God is a great command and must be respected and followed.”

From the Hadith, which records the acts and sayings of Muhammed, we read, “The Resurrection of the dead will not come until the Muslims will war with the Jews and the Muslims will kill them... the trees and rocks will say, ‘O Muslim, here is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’”

Again from Muhammed: “War is deception. Negotiate peace with your enemy until you are strong enough to annihilate him.”

From Abdul Houssain Zarin Koub, longtime department head of history, religion and philosophy at the University of Tehran: “From the beginning, its (Islam’s) spread was accomplished through physical violence, bloodshed and war. Violence not only against non-Muslim infidels, but also against fellow Muslims …”

From the Wall Street Journal, Dec. 18, 1992, an Hamas leader is quoted: “The war is open until Israel ceases to exist and until the last Jew in the world is eliminated.”

From Benjamin Netanyahu, former prime minister of Israel: “Although its (terrorist organizations) separate parts may have local objectives and take part in local conflicts, the main motivation driving the terror network is an anti-western hostility that seeks to achieve nothing less than a reversal of history. It seeks to roll back the West and install an extremist form of Islam as the dominant power in the world... What is at stake today is nothing less than the survival of our civilization.”

Finally, from the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini of Iran: “The governments of the world should know that Islam cannot be defeated. Islam will be victorious in all countries of the world and Islam and the teachings of the Koran will prevail all over the world.”

Now just what is there to not understand? These authoritative sources are mostly Muslim. They are a handful of many of this kind.

On behalf of Mr. Hearn who worries that my writing offends Arabs, I extend to those Arabs an invitation to tell me so themselves, to tell me how I’m wrong about the above authorities, or to join me in full condemnation of Islamic terrorism and in support of America, their adopted land.

Thank you. Most people don't see this as the war it really is.

Looks like encouraging Americans to read the Koran after 9/11 backfired a little bit.

Hate literature would be a good category for the Koran!

The second link is also from a christian perspective, but is an objective historical analysis as well.

On behalf of Mr. Hearn who worries that my writing offends Arabs,

Of course Mr. Hearn is most likely a white, bleeding-heart lib, not an Arab. ....And it's the job of those types to be offended for other people. A day for the likes of Mr. Hearn without taking offense at something is a rare day indeed.

Surah 48.29 states: “Muhammed is God’s Apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another.”

Is that why those islamic pigs beheaded the non-muslims like Pearl, Berg, Johnson and the Korean fellow but still holding the Lebanese soldier from Utah?
