I certainly don't advocate "firing wildly into the air."
I advocate firing directly at the enemy. That fact that he
is "entrenched" is no excuse for leaving him alone. Whether we are charging across "open ground," I don't know. I do know that sometimes it's necessary. I also know that it is dangerous to let any attack by the enemy go unanswered.
Your Florida '02 example demonstrates nothing. Sure, the Dems lose some elections they expect to win, or say they expect to win. So what?
The complacency of some on FR is surprising.
Ummmm, I was saying that the Democrats are firing wildly in the air while charging into the Republicans entrenched positions. They are still trying to "introduce" Kerry, while Bush's team has been making the flip-flop label stick.
What the chicken little's are doing is letting the wild fire get them concerned so they keep demanding that Rove and Co. return fire. But Rove is more disciplined than that and will open fire only when it will hurt Kerry.
The pessimism and fear on Freerepublic is astounding sometimes.
