It's Gephardt
Just got some scuttlebutt, top Gephardt aide Joyce Aboussie has been sent a private plane to join Dick Gephardt for....one can only assume the announcement that Dick Gephardt will be the next Vice President Nominee for the Democratic Party.
UPDATE: If Aboussie is being flown out and ordering staff to be ready for a change, it's hard to imagine that it is anything, but gearing up for an announcement that he is the VP nominee. He and Aboussie are incredibly close and she is his right hand. Unless this is a bit of disinformation, this is the real deal.

Conventional wisdom says that Gephardt couldn't deliver Missouri if he handed out $100 bills across the state. He hasn't run statewide for a reason.

That's why I've always said Gephardt is going nowhere. Since 1994 he's been the biggest loser in the Democratic party. He's intimately tied to the biggest loss the Democrats have had in the 20th century.
The tipoff: those non-existent eyebrows.
I can't think of a less exciting ticket. Those two joined together could probably suck the free energy out of the Cherenobyl coffin.
I doubt it. He's just waaaaaay too boring. He would not bring the spark needed. I STILL think it could be Hillary...I pray it would be Al Sharpton.

Gephardt is a wise choice on Kerry's part, and Gephardt is clearly the most qualified Dem to be president. Indeed, he is more qualified than Kerry. It is a signal, that Kerry is not going to fundamentally disagree with the Bush policy on Iraq, even though he claims with his insipid generalities that he is.
And he still has a lot to be humble about.

yea I guess he likes certain Dicks but I know he hates Bush. I assume he probably likes Colin though.
