How in the world do the Democrats think that two wealthy East Coast liberal junior Senators can win the White House?!

What a birthday present to President Bush, for Senator Kerry to have failed to select Senator Breaux, Sam Nunn, or former President Carter as his VP candidate!

Picking a trial lawyer who has personally *raised* healthcare costs for a VP candidate?! Hilarious!

And announcing his selection this early was also a mistake, as has been the majority of JFK's campaign so far.

He should have sent an email message out to everyone with modern cell phones on the Boston Convention floor seconds before he announced, in Prime Time, to the crowd his choice on the final day of the Democratic Party convention.

Junior Senator Edwards couldn't win in the Presidential primaries, couldn't win re-election as Senator in his home state, and certainly can't win in 2004.

The only redeeming quality about this pick is that it is so bad that we are going to have to shelve a few of our many attacks lest we be seen as bullies piling on against the helpless.

Good Job by the RNC getting this out immediately. Edwards may actually hurt Kerry as Edwards has NO foreign policy experience at all. He's also a big government liberal - and I'm glad to see the RNC focus on this.

"Garnered More Than $175 Million. “He became rich [representing plaintiffs], racking up more than $175 million for his clients from 1985 to 1997 …” (James C. Mckinley, Jr., “A Journey From A Mill Town Ends With A Run For President,” The New York Times, 1/12/04)"

Does anyone have any sort of list of cases won? It would be interesting to point out to specific labor groups how he directly hurt the companies that they work for......

asked the president -- presidential candidate George W Bush if he could name the four world leaders of four hot spots around the world. They were Chechnya, Taiwan, Pakistan, India. Do you think that was a fair set of questions to put to a guy running for president?” SEN. EDWARDS: “No.” MATTHEWS: “Do you think it would be a fair question to put to you right now?” EDWARDS: “No. Absolutely not.” MATTHEWS: “So you don’t want to go that route? That was the option you have. I have the answers here, if you wanted to try, but since you don’t want to try, we’ll move on. If you -- Are you sure? You don’t want to answer these questions?

Come on sweetie, I know you can do it!

Can anyone imagine if ol' SoftBall host had phrased such longing for a correct answer to a Republican? He never would have approached the issue with so much guarded reservation, much less let him loose when he was pinned to the floor.

Although for the former Tip O'Neil staffer even drawing the connection between the two's inexperience and thinking about asking an awkward question is at least a step forward for Timmy.

Thanks for the info!

This guy is JUST what Kerry needs, but I'll bet "we" have similar dosiers on every other potential candidate (and I'd love to see those when appropriate).

Despite this, Kerry will be difficult to deal with, in many of the same ways that Clinton was: He can spout false and misleading statements with a smile, and convincingly. After all, manipulation is his life's work.

Mostly medical malpractice, such as where he convinced juries that delivery doctors were at fault for congenital defects.

Laura Ingraham said 63 cases to get $152 million.

Have you checked her Web site yet?
