It always strikes me as strange to see so many American troops carrying AK's.

Personally I think they're an excellent rifle if you're within 200 yards of your target. After that point their poor sights and marginal accuracy become a major liability.

Greetings Diogenesis:
Thank you dear FReeper for your informative contributions.

For your viewing pleasure:

July 4, 2004

If you want to appreciate our freedom, spend some time where freedom is just beginning to happen.

Attached is a photo of our team with an Iraqi police chief.

We are standing on the roof of the Ministry of Interior building. In this building Saddam used to hold mock trials of people he thought were a threat to him, and they were taken out in the parking lot and shot.

Happy Independence Day, from a newly independent Iraq.

I was wondering about the scarves (red/white checked and black/white checked). Most Iraqis do not wear scarves. So when these are seen, wouldn't it be prudent to interrogate these guys wearing them?

But it wasn't because it showed the JOY of the Iraqis who knew that something of immense and historical importance had happened, unlike our Pravda NewsMasters.

I'm gonna print up about 20 of these, take 'em down to the 100 Yard line, and tack 'em right up!

About due for a little target practice, don'tcha reckon?

Now what'll it be first? The FN-49 Battle Rifle or the 7X57 Mauser with the 4-7X variable scope?

One 140 grain Nosler BT to the left eyeball, comin' right up!

(Of course it helps when the Terrorist isn't shooting back at 'cha!)
