What we know about the Democrats "Dream Ticket" is its not ready for the challenges facing America in the post-9/11 world.

That is why they call him John 'FUBAR' Kerry, because he will 'Foul Up Beyond All Repair'. Kaptain Ketchup has shown that he can't even do it right, when selecting a running mate.

Mike Erlandson is the chair of the Democratic Farm-Labor Party in Minnesota. He's very excited. He compares Edwards to Elvis.

So if President Kerry were killed in a terrorist attack, and Vice President Edwards found out he was now the president, his first reaction would be to...shoot the television?

I guess the comparison is apt. This is one ticket that will have more Elvis sightings over the next couple of years.

Hey, John, do you know if anyone posted that Time article on Kerry? I have been babysitting my grandkids a lot this summer so may have missed it.

Good comments by Hewitt. I would add that Kerry made a big deal about not conducting the veep process like Gore did...Kerry was embarassed to not be chosen. However, in my opinion Kerry did WORSE at this than Gore. Not only have Gephardt and Graham been insulted, but the obvious attempt to woo McCain and Richardson plus Hillary's obvious non-interest have made him look like a loser.

"So it is John Edwards, Sen. Lightweight.

Kerry's slippage in the polls dictated that he pick someone with flash and energy, but this choice won't wear well because the country knows it is wartime, and it knows that John Edwards is no more prepared to run a war than he is to run a small state or a large corporation..." - Hugh Hewitt

Kerry's fateful choice

Good for John Kerry. By picking John Edwards he has given the voters a real choice. The conventional wisdom in Washington held that Kerry would be smart to pick someone who underscored his national security credentials. Picking a Wesley Clark or even a Dick Gephardt would signal that Kerry wasn't going to let the Bush team out-hawk him on the war on terror and foreign policy.

By picking Edwards, Kerry has made it clear that he doesn't think this election should be framed on Bush's terms and that he wants to make a very different case to the American people.

Simply put, if Kerry really thought the war on terror was as big a deal as Bush does, there's no way he would pick John Edwards...

This is a pre-9/11 choice by a presidential nominee running away from 9/11. Kerry's strategy is now fixed: Ignore the war unless asked, and downplay it when asked.

This was very apparent in this morning's photo op where these 2 clowns talked about healthcare and from what I saw, never mentioned terrorism or national security.

"Bush's pollster Matthew Dowd says Kerry will establish a 15 point lead by the close of the convention."

I'll disbelieve any polls that give this result...I believe the Bush campaign is just saying this so that Kerry's post-convention bounce will be "less than predicted."

Typical Rat decision taking style over substance! In a time of war do we really need to be playing cheap political games?? A cancer remission away from the Presidency??
