Here's a theory.
The Clintons & Terry believe that this LIBERAL of a ticket can't win. Hillary promised she would finish her term and so they pushed Edwards and setup the wacko lefties.
Kerry/Edwards LOSE. The LIBERAL wing will be weakened. Kerry will go home to his mansions and Tessie and not be heard from in 2008 or beyond.
Edwards is not running for re-election so in 4 years he won't have any power or backing to run and his LACK of experience will be insurmountable, having squandered his chance. Remember he won't be adding ANY experience after he loses with Kerry, he's OUT of Washington.
Hillary will ride to the rescue in 2008 with DLC backing and will run so she can foist her brand of liberalism on the country once she's in.
Bill, Hillary and Terry want K/E to lose so Hillary can get in, remember it will be 8 years then since Bill soiled the WH and people will say Bill wasn't that bad and Hill will have kept her promise, finished her term and built her org for the 2008 WH run.
The 3 stooges don't want to have to wait until 2012, 2016 or 2020 and they want the real outspoken wacko lefties quieted. Their type of liberalism can be easier to bring about without the loud mouth Moores, Gores and Dizzy Deans of the party.
It's 2008 that the Republicans better consider in order to stop Hillary. We will be 'short handed' since Cheney will not be the 2008 candidate. I'm not saying to replace him on the ticket, I'm just saying someone should be groomed, maybe a cabinet position for someone energetic and with charisma which seems to be needed in this TV world.
