"I know we senators all tend to look alike. But I arrived late, and I had to leave early for Senate votes. I didn't meet Mr. Moore," Daschle said.

Several things can be taken from this single sentence, and their veracity are easily checked.

1) I know we senators all tend to look alike.

This means that other senators were in attendance.

2) But I arrived late, and I had to leave early for Senate votes.

Did the other senators in attendance also leave early for senate votes? If no, why was Dashcle the only one to leave early for votes.

Further, lets get the congressional record and see what votes where scheduled for, and conducted on the night the film was shown, and the roll call of the votes cast.

McAuliffe and a number of other prominent Democrats attended a screening of Moore's new documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, at the Uptown Theatre in Washington Wednesday night.

In addition to McAuliffe, other Democrats at the Washington screening included Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin, Montana Sen. Max Baucus, South Carolina Sen. Ernest Hollings, Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson, New York Rep. Charles Rangel, Washington Rep. Jim McDermott, and others. Harkin told the Associated Press that all Americans should see the film. "It's important for the American people to understand what has gone on before, what led us to this point, and to see it sort of in this unvarnished presentation by Michael Moore."

****It was June 23rd.
