Selfish X'ers will get their day.
I hope they decide that killing one another is the most expedient way to parity.

That's one of the many benefits of being a big well-armed broad. :) That and you're a Texan. One of the more interesting observations I've made about Free Republic is that the people I like the most, and the people I like the least, tend to be Texans. That reflects well on Texas

I can't believe there's been almost 150 posts and no one has taken these twits to task for daring to criticize Led Zeppelin!

"Darn. I thought this article would be about something substantial, like intelligent young folks opposing the socialist behemoths SS and Medicare."
They are, by refusing to listen to old hippie/hillbilly/druggie tunes, getting good haircuts,...

No, it's one of those FR fund-raiser pics. Those swap out when you refresh the thread. It's this woman in a red straw hat, with bad hair and makeup. I think she's trying to look coy.

Sorry, I'm not. Actually, I looked it up after typing my reply, and there is no real agreement as to exact time frame for the baby boom. The American Heritage Dictionary for example: Baby Boom-- A sudden, large increase in the birthrate, especially the one in the United States after World War II from 1947 through 1961.
Either way. There is no way anyone with half a brain could credibly maintain that someone born in 1947 and 1960 is of the same generation. All the important, landmark events that define the former, mean nothing to the latter. JFK's assassination, Woodstock, the Democratic convention of 1968, George McGovern, Humphry, etc etc, all belong to a generation that I was just peripherally aware of between naps.

Kerry Rocks!
He rubs guys on the arse, too, but I'll not address that here.
"Got a crazy feeling I don't understand
'Gotta get away from here
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear
Mamma's gonna worry
I been a bad bad boy
No use sayin' sorry
It's somethin' that I enjoy
'Cause you can't see what my eyes see
(I can see it, I can see it)
And you can't be inside of me, flying high again
I can see through mountains watch me disappear
I can even touch the sky
Swallowing colors of the sound I hear
Am I just a crazy guy (You bet)
Mamma's gonna worry
I been a bad bad boy
No use sayin' sorry
It's somethin' that I enjoy
If you could be inside my head
You'd see that black and white is read
Flying high again
Flying high again
Flying high again
Flying high again come on and join me"
What a stiff.

"Selfish X'ers will get their day."
I'm a Baby Boomer. There's no generation more selfish and vain than that of Baby Boomers. More of our kids are far less selfish than we are/were. Notice, for one thing, how much less effeminate Gen-X men look than we did. And notice how much more intelligent and masculine the current Metal is. In our time, Metal sounded more like it came from transexuals. ...remember the Rod Stewart joke, AC-DC, Queen?

I can't believe there's been almost 150 posts and no one has taken these twits to task for daring to criticize Led Zeppelin! Neither can I!!!! I've been trying to work it in but I'm trying to do 10 other things also.
But not that I'd agree but I can see maybe thinking Stairway, Black Dog and Rock N Roll are a little over played, But the rest of the songs on that album are equally awesome. Anyone who can listen to those 3 plus Battle of Evermore, Misty Mountain Hop, Four Sticks, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks and not come away realizing they just listened to one of the greatest albums of all time just does not know music and can not be taken seriously. If they are going to attack Zeppelin then they should be attacking Coda.

For some reason, I don't loathe Zep like I do Skynyrd, and said fiance was equally adamant about both. Zep has done so much musically intriguing work . . . every Skynyrd song sounds alike to me.
