That's a reach. Unless you've got some inside info that the Heinz-Kerrys influenced Lay or helped him in some specific way, you should drop this. IMO.

But in the mind of a Leftist, perceptions trump truth everytime. Note how only the mention of word: Halliburton, causes them to make vast assumptions about Bush/Cheney. Perhaps we can get to the point on the right when all we have to do to scare a lib is say: Enron/Ken Lay!

And, what influence did Ken Lay have on Bush?

(They (Enron executives) ATTENDED only three WH meetings -ALONG with several hundred other oil and energy executives in each meeting.)

So, exactly WHAT are the democrats accusing Bush of doing wrong by receiving Enron campaign donations?

(Are they accusing Bush of NOT following Clinton's example and using US government diplomatic and energy policy pressure to make foreign sales FOR Enron?)

I don't think so. this is exactly the kind of juicy tidbit that makes the NY Times front page when Repubs are involved. How many days have we heard about Cheney's addicted doctor? How many of your liberal acquaintances still point to Ken Lay as Bush's friend? Forgetting of course, that Lay was misbehaving badly back in the Clinton administration. So having Lay on Teresa's BOARD is a real, undeniable connection to her househusband.

I disagree. I bet Nader never had Ken Lay over. I bet Nader never owned Enron stock. I bet some anti-capitalist Dims might switch to Nader because of consorting with capitalists like this?

No "reach" here. The point is: Did you know about this before Fox News broke the story??? Didn't you think that President Bush had the "Enron" connection?? At least that is what we were being told by the liberal media. Now, it turns out that Clinton did. And now team Heinz-Kerry enter stage left. I find that interesting, and I think that Michael Moore should investigate immediately!! Afterall, fair is fair, isn't it???
