The Touchy-Feely Democrats John Kerry And John Edwards Continue To Show Public Affection
Jul 10, 2004 8:40 am US/Eastern NEW YORK (AP) Bear hugs. Pats on the back. Shoulder squeezes. John Kerry and John Edwards are all over each other.
The two Democrats and one-time rivals have shared so much public affection since becoming a team Tuesday that the presidential candidate even joked about it Friday in New York after Edwards introduced him at fund-raisers and rallies — and hugged him before turning over the podium.
Kerry grinned and shook his head. "There's been a lot of hugging this week," the Massachusetts senator remarked with a chuckle.
Later, Kerry mentioned that Jay Leno had teased the Democratic ticket for being so touchy-feely. Mocking the apparent chemistry between the candidates, "The Tonight Show" strung together clips of the two in their first three days as running mates with Joe Cocker's weepy 1974 hit single "You Are So Beautiful" played in the background.
"We make a great couple, ladies and gentlemen," Kerry joked as New York donors cracked up.

kerry hasn't been around anything as pretty as the Breck Girl in awhile. Line edwards up against scary terri and edwards will win with a smile alone.
The Dems are holding a pair of queens. Sadly for them, aces are high in this game...

I love politics and I am very interested in the Presidential race...of course!I find it hard, however, to read about or listen to anything more about Kerry.
I find I am so turned off by Kerry that I simply have nothing left to say...It started with his Viet Nam anti troops rhetoric, his vote against funding the troops in Iraq, his flip flops..(The latest outrage..A hate filled fund raising concert, full of obscene references to the President and VP?)
He is ... a "touchy feely" phony and a danger to our country. God help our country vote right and vote for BUSH/CHENEY 04!
I doubt that all the back slapping and cheek patting has anything to do with affection.
Maybe those rumors about gay marriages at the DNC convention are true.

They are cruising around for the 2% of the vote that are homosexual. That's dipping pretty low. Let's encourage them. A normal man doesn't want to see that in another man. A normal woman will croos the street to get away from there.
That's so true. Let's encourage Kerry to continue with the stupid behavior even if it makes us mad, because many people feel the same as us. Many gals that put thear heart into Clinton are not that free with hearts anymore.
So, if Kerry wins, does that make John Edwards First Lady?
