Thanks! Great thread !
I'm a little curious though; Why is he wearing a Cavalry insignia (crossed sabers) with an Infantry cord (blue)?
Unless military tradition has changed a lot since I was in the Army, the color designation for Cavalry always was yellow .(Artillery = red)
Notice the background color of the Regimental (Unit?) Standard he is carryiing; it is yellow, which is proper for that Branch of Service.
Now if you see a chappie running around with orange trim on his uniform, he's a really old Veteran; The Army hasn't had any Dragoons for quite some time now, that I'm aware of!
Anyway - looks a lot better and is probably significantly more practical than those silly "berets" eh?
LOL...good catch!
More great pics...Thanks for sharing!
QFN bump...
Well. You are certainly much more in the know than I am about the details of that trooper's hat!
I looked at that picture and thought, how cute is that?
Thank you for serving in the Army and protecting the USofA!
you mean we have soldiers wearing French berets?
Rapide, se les permettre de rend premièrement. Nous avons assez de fromage et assez de vin pour nous, et nous pouvons prendre leur argent et achetons une brune, ou peut-être deux et nous pouvons prendre des virages. Eh ?
I sent this link to a friend and he posted the link on this great website:
