As long as cowards are running this country, we will only go away --- with a whimper --- overwhelmed by immoral, unethical, unhealthy, freedom hating leftists and anarchists.

It won't even be with a little bang either - - - - -

IMHO, Armstrong's BEST quote was at an interview some months after returning to eartg, he was asked what his thoughts were, as he sat atop the huge Saturn rocket waiting to blast off. The reporter asked him if he was scared. Armstong replied.."I focused on the idea that this huge complex piece of machinery, consisted of several million parts, EACH one which was built by the lowest bidder."

The problem is that we're not really running out of any resources on earth, and may never (see Julian Simon.)

One can make a case for oil, but there's none of it on the moon.

Frankly, there's no economic reason for going to the Moon, or any other celestial body, but people just seem to assume that it's got to be profitable because it turned out to be profitable for Europeans to go to the Americas.

Good quote!

If they are going to work the moon for resources...and they will : )
A vehicle with flexibilty and low operation/maint/repair and replace is needed....something allong the lines of the Eagles from the series *Space 1999.

Sheilding against cosmic radiation is the real issue while on the moon and in space....unknown if we can solve this totally...maybe increase time duration against exposure to enable work projects to be feasible.
unless they work the moon from underneath?..like mining...would that solve the radiation issue?

so ya....they will be on the moon...and the B.S. will follow.
ie...which direction to place the prayer rug towards Mecca?..or will just facing Earth be good enough for space Muslims : )

a Union for moon workers?....or high payment contract?

"Sorry Mam.....your husband died travelling from the moon to Earth....not while working.....so we only owe you"...

Man will go to the moon.....and so will Lawyers and underwriters....Statefarm is there? : )

people just seem to assume

Asteroid mining can be highly profitable. Most studies are of technology; economic analysis is in short supply, but asteroid mining can be done.
