Yeah, they have a cat. I saw this thread yesterday and avoided it because whiners make me puke.

The only publishable answer is to boycott all Indian products.

Members of the citizens group Prathikarana Vedi assembled before the Kerala assembly saying that Bush calling his cat India was an insult to the country.

Yep, lots of people/cultures are easily insulted it seems. Does get to be tiresome after awhile.

Angry youths in this Kerala capital Friday burnt an effigy of US President George W. Bush, not because they are anti-American but because he has named his cat India.

This just in. . .

India threatens to withold all high tech and engineering infrastructure support from the U.S. unless and until George W. Bush changes the name of his cat.

Not ALL of Kashmir is part of the nation calling itself "India". Some of it (78,000 sq.km. is part of the nation calling itself "Pakistan". Then there are the parts currently part of China (5,000 sq.km. contributed by Pakistan and 37,555 contributed by India itself) and Afghanistan (depending on who is drawing the lines).

The situation is actually far more complex than that, and if Tibet ever regains it's independence, Tibet and Kashmir will have overlapping claims to the same desolate mountains.

Actually you are mixing up Kashmir withthe Indian state of JAmmus, Kashmir and Ladakh. The portion known as Kashmir is Indian with parts that were annexed by Pakistan in 1947. Ladakh was conquered in part by China during the 1962 war. Afghanistan has no claim on any part of Kashmir and doesn't touch Kashmir geographically.

The lands from India were not contributed, but "robbed"

Tibet existed as a separate nation state until 1949, so there was never a dispute about Tibet and India having overlapping claims to any territory
