Do not know who, though

Can't recall his name, but it was Billy Jeff's campaign manager for the Arkansas Governor's the year BJ Xlinton lost.

Hillary was so pissed because her handling of the education initiative and BJ's ninety degree turn to the Left cost them his election, she had to find someone to punish and take the spotlight off her and her erstwhile husband.

The campaign manager, with his "Jewish" sounding surname, was the first one through the door of the Xlinton's Election Night Suite. Consequently, he suffered the loud verbal insults from the Hildabeast, escaping before objects of more heft could be hurled at him, ala the ashtray incident at the White House, aimed at Skin Flute in Chief's head.

Do a Google search for "Bush fake turkey" and you will find that all of these stories live on forever.

Didn't you get the DNC memo? ONLY republicans can lie, commit adultery, commit impeachable offenses in the office of the presidency, make racist, sexist or otherwise intolerant remarks. Demoncrats, by definition, simply cannot do these terrible acts!

These people were all over NYPost over faulty VP story, for which they apologised

CNN took the liberty to translate the Post error into a smear against Fox News channel (because Murdoch owns both), and they beat on that theme for over an hour the other day. It was cheap and distasteful.

(Disclaimer: our cable provider doesn't have Fox News, only CNN.)

I think I will take the time to send this to Snopes.

I remember the reports from Iraq specifically said (on FNC) that the turkey in question was *lovingly prepared by the cooks to be perfect and to be the centerpiece*. When the plastic turkey stories came out, I was livid.

The issue appears to be whether it was a fake (i.e. plastic) turkey, or whether it was a real turkey that was prepared for display purposes rather than consumption. (because of the way it was prepared). Of course, I can be wrong since I am gathering this information from the lying liberal news media.

The sad part of the story is that there would be importance placed upon whether the turkey was real or imitation. If after discussing the issues, promises, and propaganda, this was used as a filler on the back page, it could be excused. In contrast, nothing is discussed or reported, and this is used as a lead story. Is it any wonder that the public is so misinformed and confused?

Done.

Could a few of you do the same thing? I just went to the comment page on Snopes, copied the correction from the NYT correction page and the URL from the same page.

I added that I am tired of seeing this urban legend in political spam clogging my inbox. Add your own comments so it doesn't look like a FReep.

That is the issue.

The turkey was one of those centerpieces perfect enough to be shot for a food ad. This was actually reported on FNC when it happened, the report stating that the cooks had taken the time to roast a perfect-looking turkey on an artistically garnished platter. Suddenly, the NYT and other media began calling it a plastic turkey. From then on, the media called it a plastic turkey.

How urban legends are born.

This was in the NYT's Sunday July 4th "Week in Review" section.

Why Political Surprises Rarely Surprise by Richard Berke

"There are also the manufactured surprises, like Mr. Bush's cloak-and dagger Thanksgiving trip to Baghdad, which drew praise even from Democrats. (The public relations bonanza fizzled after the press reported that Mr. Bush had posed with a mouth-watering--but fake--turkey.)"
