MTV Promotes Pro-Kerry Message of NY Fundraiser and IGNORES the Hate and Vitriol (MTV has Video!)
MTV ^ | 7-11-04

MTV News, and I use that term loosely, is showing footage (yes folks, MTV appears to have access to the footage) of the Thursday Night Democrat Hate-Fest in New York.

MTV is showing entertainers such as Dave Matthews praising Kerry and Edwards over and over again. The overt MTV Campaign for Kerry is nothing short of shameful.

Further, MTV does not mention ANYTHING about the Hate-Fest Scandal "&%!@#-Gate" -- they just show all the glowing praise of Kerry.

Disgusting.

You can give MTV a piece of your mind HERE.

Am I just stupid here? Don't they have to give 'equal' time to Bush/Cheney. Or does it count as equal time when their names are mentioned in the bashfest?

my email

The Kerry campaign has denied access to footage of the Radio City Music Hall fund raising event in which foul-mouthed entertainers used expletives and sexual jokes to mock the President while Kerry and Edwards laughed. Kerry defended people who called President Bush a "cheap thug" and made fun of his name Bush via adolescent sexual innuendo and called them the "heart and soul of America."

I tend to disagree.

MTV has access to this footage - in fact, MTV News showed a glowing review of this event, omitting the vulgarity that even the ultra-liberal NY Times criticized. You guys DIDN'T EVEN MENTION IT, or show anything but fluff-clips, like Dave Matthews lionizing Kerry.

In the interest of honest reporting, I urge you to make ALL the footage available to media outlets, and also report on the foul-mouthed personal attacks that Kerry thinks represent the "heart and soul" of our nation.

Anything else, and it will appear that MTV are nothing but partisans whose network is shilling for one single campign, and not doing fair reporting. I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone to believe that.

Just like the video of Hillary appearing at the event for the WTC firefighters who died. The firefighters in the audience very loudly booed Hillary. MTV (Viacom, CBS, Nickelodeon) electronically removed the booing and replaced it with applause.

Don't the Hollywierd types say that any publicity is good publicity?

Actually, MTV is taking the stand that they are reporting news. Highly selective and partisan news, but news none the less.

Can't they just get back to playing music? Whatever happened to that?

But, but I thought that the Kerry campaign said that they couldn't release anything from the tape due to copyright issues! What, did they lie?

Who cares. Kids, including the fortysomethings who still watch MTV, are stupid. And they don't vote.

I would bet that Rolling Stones released it to MTV, isn't Rolling Stones the ones who filmed it?
