Like I said on the other thread, so the conservatives sat and politiely listened to the man plug the book he had written? What would have them do? Boo and hiss like a bunch of wild-eyed, looney leftists?

Liberal wishful thinking. I haven't been too thrilled with some of the social spending but I will crawl through broken glass, a swim a moat of lye and have dinner with my Mother in Law to vote for Bush.

We may have another terrorist incident under Bush. Under Kerry and his appeasement every city in the US will look like Jerusalem. Kerry in speech, word and deed conveys weakness. Terrorists love to pick on the weak. The US will look like a pigeon ripe for plucking. We will have daily suicide bombings. Kerry scares the hell out of me.

From the article what surfaces if the fact that the press is succeeding in hiding the successes and holding under a microscope all the flaws:

Notice that the meeting was "closed to journalist." This tells me that the press would have got in to bash anything positive they would have to say.

Notice also the revealing statement that says, "the news media were not reporting the positive developments out of Iraq." We have to wake up to the fact that the left has sent an army of their antiwar reporters over to Iraq. Their mission is to derail any information of success about our effort in Iraq. The effort of stifling information has the scary resemblance to the Iron Curtain of the old Soviet Union. These information goons have as much respect for the institution of the press as an instrument for the truth as the mafia has for a family member talking to the F.B.I.

We are in a war for the truth folks. If we lose that war, soon they will take even the information highway away as our means to the truth.

90% to 95% of conservatives and Republicans will vote for President Bush. Liberals are delusional when they wish that there will be a problem between the President and his conservative base.

It is noteworthy to understand and resign to the fact that there is 5% of conservatives who are Buchaninite bitter losers. We should give up on those guys because we cannot change them.
