I don't think it's at its morbid worst. You wanna know the worst I think I've heard of? It was the digging up and unraveling of mummies in Egypt in the Victorian era to use the wrappings to wrap hamburger because there was a paper shortage. That's the grossest I've heard of.

It was the digging up and unraveling of mummies in Egypt in the Victorian era to use the wrappings to wrap hamburger because there was a paper shortage. Paper used to be made from linen rags before the invention of the wood pulp process. And the biggest source of linen rags was...like you said.
