The Bush administration has been the biggest-spending presidency in 40 years--since Lyndon Johnson. Overall spending has grown from 18.4% to 20.2% of gross domestic product. Some of that is post-9/11 defense spending, but nondefense discretionary spending has grown 43% since President Clinton left office. The administration championed an $86 billion farm subsidy bill, a huge education expenditure increase for the No Child Left Behind program, and the $534 billion health care and prescription drug bill signed into law last December.

This, along with Bush's assault on the First Amendment, are among the many reasons I don't support him. I don't support Big Stupid Government politicians, period.

When you consider past government "projections" on spending underestimate the actual cost by 300 or 400%, I wouldn't be surprised to see this 550 billion dollar medicare bill end up costing $2 trillion this decade.

Biggest budget EVER, and new entitlements piling on every day...

Conservative?

--Then you've totally marginalized yourself and you may as well not exist; they're all big spenders.

The 4th and 6th have been gutted also.

Unlike Reagan, who appealed to the best hopes of the American People, Bush and Ashcroft have appealed to our worst fears...and have done so to implement some questionable domestic policies.

If the gun ban shows up on his desk he'll sign that so he says.

But he has been the staunchest ally to Israel of any recent President though.
I'll grab that straw and probably vote for him again.

That is if he doesn't let Powell screw that up too.

Not a problem for you then because If Bush doesn't win in November you will really get the biggest government with the least amount of prtoection from terrorists that the world has ever seen...To prefer Kerry (which by not supporting Bush that is in essence what happens) is suicidal. Note that military spending has been one of the largest increases in spending...since Clinton gutted the military during his term, Bush has to spend some to get us back on track

This, along with Bush's assault on the First Amendment,

????????????

If you don't think there's a difference btwn Bush and Kerry, then you missed what happened on 9/11/2001.

Do you honestly think Gore would be fighting terrorists. I contend he would be funneling billions to Unions for security and we would be hunkered down fending off attacks.

Does the sound of "President Kerry" bother you just a little bit?
