In summary, I am not opposed to immigration. Indeed we are a nation of immigrants, and the continuing influx of new citizens from abroad brings vitality to our culture. But I am opposed to immigration that violates our laws. And when that lawlessness creates opportunities for terrorists, it requires resolute leadership in Congress to solve the problem. I will provide that leadership.
voting for Taff
I like Chris Kobach as well. A real Reagan style republican.
"Wait a tic... blimey, this redistribution of wealth is trickier than I thought."
"Hehehe....give me all your lupines."
Oleen is leaving after this year, and there's a left-wing Republican and a conservative running in that district. There's a Democrat in the general.
Someone told me that the Republicans in that district are becoming more unified in getting rid of Moore. The only reason Moore won last time is because of how the left-wing Republicans behaved in the 2002 primary. Adam Taff was the left-wing's candidate, and many conservatives refused to vote for him as payback.
Maybe this will be the year we get rid of him. There are lots of Kobach signs in Johnson County.
Cool. Did you tell me that already? How could I have forgotten such fantastic news?
There in lies the rub. Two years prior Phill Kline was the right wing candidate, and many moderate Republicans refused to vote for him as payback. The reason Moore continues to remain in office is because the Kansas GOP is so badly divided in Johnson County.
One more thing. I think getting rid of Dennis Moore would really panic Kathleen Sebelius. The DNC sees Sebelius as a future Dem star, and they've been pouring a lot of money into this state to help out the KS Dem Party. Sebelius has also been raising a ton of money for the Dems this year. The DNC is looking to see whether she has coattails to help Dems win seats here. If Moore loses, that would be a major blow to her.
No, I didn't know you were against Oleen. She's gone though!
