NEVER FORGET
.
Thank you, Staff Sgt. Spink, for making the ULTIMATE sacrifice for your country.
Prayers for his family.
This just hurts your soul, doesn't it ?
Son, all I can say is thank you.
Well said and so true!
The following is a prayer written by William Stephenson, the head of British Intelligence during WWII. He gave a copy of it to Eleanor Roosevelt who carried it in her purse. This was taken from the book by William Stevenson (no relation) entitled "A Man Called Intrepid":
Dear Lord,
Lest I continue
My complacent way
Help me to remember
Somewhere out there
A man died for me today
--As long as there be war
I then must
Ask and answer
Am I worth dying for?

May we indeed pray this prayer, and may we indeed live our lives accordingly. Thank you Staff Sgt. Spink.
His brother was on the local news last night talking about how proud they were of him and how they used to tease him because his picture was in magazine ads and on billboards across the country.
He wanted to do what he was doing and loved the military.
Thank you. That says it all.
May flights of angels sing him to his rest....
From The Marines' Hymn:
... look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
by United States Marines.
S/Sgt Spink is reassigned.
