Slim-Fast is starting to buckle under $1.2 BILLION dollars of pressure!
The weight loss giant is apparently reacting to a huge backlash from consumers, and worried investors, after their spokesperson,
Whoopi Goldberg, lobbed vulgar obscenities at President Bush this weekend.
John Kerry failed to condemn those attacks supposedly because the event brought in
$7.5 Million for the Democrats. Instead,
Kerry praised the celebrities for conveying
"the heart and soul of our country."
The parent company, Unilever [trading symbol UN] was referring all correspondence and complaints about Goldberg's hate-speech, to Slim-Fast's marketing dept. A great many angry conservatives also reported, their successes in reaching sympathetic ears at Slim-Fast: (I just received a call from Slimfast), and (Goodbye Slimfast!).
Wall Street has noticed, as Neil Cavuto reported yesterday; the 2% drop in Unilever's stock price Tuesday was attributed a new Conservative boycott of its subsidiary Slim-Fast.
That amounts to a one-day LOSS of $1.2 BILLION dollars for shareholders!

Unilever has a great deal to lose, as it's stock has a market value of 61B, and sells a great many well-known consumer products; some of which are...

Anyone may
comment online to Slim-Fast for their continuing use of Whoopi Goldberg as their advertising spokesperson.

When will Hollyweird learn that freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences??

It's too bad that Whoopi wasn't taken to task for her multiple abortions. Ah well. A person who does something like that is morally stunted to begin with, so such a person is bound to do other evil things as well and be caught in the act of doing something.

For those who might have forgotten, Lipton Tea (another of Unilever's products) continued to sponsor the Dixie Chicks' concert tour after the Chicks made their infamously disparaging remarks about President Bush in the spring of 2003. In fact Lipton parodied the public backlash in a commercial featuring the Chicks:
In the fall of 2003 the Dixie Chicks starred in a broadcast TV commercial for Lipton Ice Tea which made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the corporate blacklisting and the grassroots backlash: in the tea spot, the Chicks are about to give a stadium concert when the electricity suddenly goes out - but they manage to electrify the stadium all by themselves, belting out a rousing "a capella" version of "Set Me Free" to the raving cheers of the fans.
Seems like Unilever likes to hire big-mouthed Leftists to represent their company. I say, let's keep up the boycott of Unilever and keep their stock falling!

This is excellent news. I've always been under the impression that when an entertainer stooped to doing commercials, they needed the money. So without this added income, I wonder if Whoopie will finally appreciate the tax cuts initiated by President Bush. Maybe when she sobers up.

I'm sure if Big Whoop has been pulled, we'll hear that it wasn't the boycott. "That campaign was at the end of its cycle." Just like with Commie Glover and MCI.

Thanks for the link to Slim-Fast - just sent in the following:
I've been a Slim-Fast as well as other Unilever products user for years. Since the vulgar hate attack of President Bush by Whoopi Goldberg, my family has made the decision to no longer purchase ANY Unilever products until the company publically fires Ms. Goldberg.
This is not a partisan decision by my family - it's a decision based on decency and fear for our country. The hate and bias of those guiding the media, politicians, some corporations and the entertainment field must be stopped if we are to survive. We will do our small part by not financing that hate with purchases.
Unilever could be a leader in corporate America by promoting all Americans stand united against the terrorists who want to kill us all.......rather than paying and giving voice to the hate-America voice. You decide - we have.

Yes, it is a huge drop. And since I was a regular user of two of the Unilever products, Hellman's mayonnaise and Dove soap, I now have something I can quit using (I never used Slim Fast). The longer Ms. Goldberg remains employed by their company, the more revenue they will lose.

As Dean Wormer said, "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son."
Get that never-was potty-mouth off of my TV, please. She is offensive. She has nothing worthwhile to add to any political discourse. I'd say she should be ashamed, but that would be impossible. So I'll say that YOU should be ashamed, and should rectify this situation as soon as possible.
As Michael Jordan said upon being asked why he didn't weigh in with his political opinions, "HALF MY CUSTOMERS ARE REPUBLICANS."
