I hate it that everthing has become so "Dick Morris-esque" but if you tie it all together it sure looks that way.By the way great thread!

Thanks for the kind words on the thread. Hopefully the track record of we FReepers will prove better than the dependably-wrong Morris!

What do you think a comparison between Laura Bush and Teresa Kerry would show?

I love Laura, and it speaks volumes about W's good heart and good instincts that he chose her.

I have no doubt that Kerry, in choosing Teresa, "first he looked at the purse." Even so, though she's not my cup of tea, Teresa can be kind of refreshing.

Interesting you should mention this. I have a quite liberal friend who voluntarily told me last week that he thinks Ter-AY-za would make a poor first lady and that she compares poorly with Laura Bush. We tend not to discuss politics much since we are polar opposites but he brought this up - I didn't start the conversation. He also said, "Don't worry, GW is going to win." I don't know if he's indicative of the rest of the libs but I think it's interesting anecdotally.

I guess I will watch The Today show but I never do, I am sick of Katie Couric and her jealousy with Matt Lauer, plus ever celebrity that is on the show Katie is so star struck! gigling, cooing like a love sick teenager, I cannot stand watching her any longer....

Ter-AY-za would make a poor first lady

I agree. If anyone is ill-suited to be First Lady, it's Teresa - well, with the possible exception of you-know-who. Still, that doesn't mean that on a personal level she isn't an interesting and charming-in-her-own-way person.

According to a couple of posters on demo/undg., Katie is a right-wing whore after this morning's show.

Really? Wow. Katie really seemed to go off the reservation today, then.

I am sorry I missed the show.

Don't go crazy now! :)

It would take a lot more than that to draw me away from Imus and/or C-SPAN in the morning.

Maybe his father did that work
early on(I don't know), but he
worked in the AG Dept when Ike
was President. The Gov't sent
him from Nebraska to Wyoming;
that's why he & Lynn met, his
first school day there. They
were both 13 yrs old.

It's a nice dream but it isn't going to happen - not in my lifetime, anyway. The press, being responsible, unbiased journalists? Never happen.

But of course that would put me out of my "job" here at FR!

You will *always* have a job at FR. This is just a temporary lapse.

That is exactly correct. I did not know it would happen so soon but Hillary's talking points have been given to Katie and she is going to lead the charge.

Kerry & Edwards are going to go down in flames like Dukakis.

Don't worry, no danger of me going over to the other side. Been there, done that, successfully emerged from the therapy.

Yes especially since Kerry snubbed Hillary as they are reporting on Fox news.

Gertz is apparently trusted by the military and some in the administration.

So he is a good alternative to nailing the liberal mediots when they lie about our military.
