(Reuters) - A divided U.S. Senate on Wednesday rejected a bid to amend the Constitution to ban same-sex marriage, likely killing the proposal backed by President Bush for at least this election year.

Time to start cleaning house this election cycle. And if at all possible start a recall vote for the ones who voted against.

Republicans opposed will not be forgotten.
I want a list.

And 35 million homosexuals cheer - especially the 30 million who have no intention of, or interest in, ever getting "married". Satan is grinning and getting ready for the next attack on decent folks.

They new this would be defeated and they did it so they can get cover and move on.
The Republicans can't even win on an issue that 75%-80% of the public agrees on.

I had expected it would be worse. We are in better shape than thought. Its NOT over. This is simply Round #1 of a very long fight.

There isn't any confusion or ambiguity in California either, you moron.
But that didn't stop a rogue mayor.
Idiot.

I imagine some of the RINOs actually voted for this and were going to vote against it in the final vote.

"Same-sex marriage will be exported to all 50 states. The question is no longer whether the Constitution will be amended. The only question is who will amend it and how will it be amended," he added. The judges, as they have for decades. They use the Constitution as toilet paper.

Most Americans really don't care much about this issue.
It only directly affects those who are gay. I doubt the constitution will ever be changed for this purpose. Nor should it IMO.

Scuttle is a bad turn of words, it can be brought up again.
Particularly with a SENATOR DITAKA!
