When I read this this morning and also Brown's previous column, I get the impression that the local 'rats are afraid that da Coach just may give their boy Obama a run for his money.

Correct, but allow me to amend your statement:
I get the impression that the local 'rats are afraid that da Coach just may give their boy Obama a run for his money. kick the crap out of their star candidate and force Kerry to spend money here on the coattail effect.

The liberal wing of the Chicago media has hit the panic button.
They've picked a guy (Obama Bin Laden) to be the key note speaker at their convention and he's gonna get beat like the 1980s Packers.

I just hope Ditka doesn't perform like the 60's-70's Bears.

Ditka: "Mike Ditka will survive. All things must pass. This too shall pass." Yet another piece of "Brown" passes....

...Ditka isn't registered to vote in Illinois.
So what! When I was living in Chicago, I knew several conservatives who either weren't registered or never voted because they felt there was no way to overcome the Daley machine.
Maybe just maybe Ditka can help change that.

Ditka isn't registered to vote in Illinois If I remember correctly, the activity he is currently engaged in is known as a "Listening Tour."

At least Ditka won't take a poll, then begin telling everyone about really being a Yankee fan.

Wait until he's dealt a little more with a few of the political reporters. If he thinks Ditka will treat political reporters any better than sports reporters he's dreaming.
