There is a story around North Carolina about a bill Edwards introduced to help the people down east after Hurricane Floyd. Once the DNC realized it wasn't beneficial for them, Daschle got Edwards to vote against his OWN bill -- and, needless to say, his own constituents.
So, he introduced the bill BEFORE he voted against it. It's the thought that counts, I guess.
I think this is going to be a very entertaining election season.
