*Cranks up "The Glorious Burden" in support!*
And Bush invited this clown to the White House. Just another example of GW's misguided outreach attempts (teddy kennedy, anyone?)What's the saying? Cast ye no pearls before swine?
I hear a thunder in the distance, See a vision of the Cross. I feel the pain that was given on that sad day of loss. A lion roars in the darkness; only He holds the key. A Light to free me from my burden and grant me life eternally
Evanescence has some great ones too:
Through my tears breaks a blinding light; a perfect dawn to this endless night. Arms outstretched, awaiting me, an open embrace upon a bleeding tree. "Rest in me and I'll comfort you. I have lived and I died for you. Abide in Me and I vow to you, that I will never forsake you."
There are plenty of positive messages out there, if you look for them. :)
Megadeth:
I heard the voice of Redemption. For me there is no exemption. I started praying. I heard the bells begin to chime, warning me. "Oh Lord, don't let this be my time Don't let this be my time." I'll be there for you...
Actually, both Amy Lee (Evanescence singer) and Ben Moody (ex-guitarist) are both self identified Christians. Ben Moody is very much a believer.
Ozzy pee'd on the Alamo so I'm not surprised he's doing this.
/sarcasm Who really cares what these entertainers think? I buy Ozzy CDs (actually, I haven't since I was about 16) because I like the music, not because of his political stance.
I thought Ozzy and his disfunctional family were going back to England to live.
He gives this Osborne drug addict a spotlight and then he gets stabbed in the back.
Ditto with the killer Ted Kennedy ditto with the democrats.
George Herbert Walker did the same thing with the tax issue.
When will the Bushes ever learn?
I like Hatebreed because they are not about gimmics or costumes . The lyrics are understandable and make sense. Jamey Jasta is a normal person and easy to relate to. It was by accident that I got into that band. I went to a Slayer concert and Hatebreed opened up for them. I then saw their new album on sale for 9.99 and figured what the heck. It was awesome and then I bought "Perseverance." That is one kick butt motivating album.
Exactly. It's also beginning to sound like this is a ploy concocted by his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne.
Fox news this morning alluded to that and said that Ozzy is actually pro-bush and pro- the war.
Ozzy's wife is quoted as saying that she wished they had had a gay child. No surprises here.
yea the guys vocals arent the greatest, but you gotta hand it too them to throw full out orchestra and metal together its a good combo when you do it right
progenies of the great apocalypes is a great example you think it belonged in some midevil war soundtrack (that would be pretty cool huh?)
YEA!!!!!!!!!! iced earth rocks!!!
so is hillary clinton, but the difference between ol thunder thighs and dimmu borgir is dimmu borgir can play music, clinton? she plays something i cant say on FR
One guy in the band looked like Pinhead from Hellraiser.
Slipkont was good too. But they have so many people in the band you don't know what the heck is going on with them.
Everyone sang "Breakin the Law" and "Headin out to the Highway" when Priest came on.
Slayer had the crowd in a frenzy for Dead Skin Mask and Reign in Blood.
All this concert needed was Maiden and Metallica (Pre Black album) and it would have been perfect.
i would give an arm and a leg to see maiden ive seen preist when ripper owens was there vocals still was awesome,i would LOVE to see halford
I saw Maiden and Arch Enemy in NYC about three months ago. Dickenson sounded better than ever. They had a different set for each song!!!!! It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The crowd went nuts when he sang Run to Hills and Number of the Beast. There were 12 year olds and 50 year olds jamming.
Where do you live??? We have great concerts all the time here. I saw Metallica about two months ago. They played mostly old songs and crowd sang every song completely on key.
westland mi,goin to machine head in august, seen them once already definatly cant wait
