Certainly nicer than the similar quarters aboard the Lexington, which is the only carrier I have any firsthand knowledge of. Although "The Gipper" is considerably larger of course. But that's only the Captain's stateroom. What is the Admiral's like?

If you ask me, that stateroom needs help. Right now, it looks like a french whorehouse. Cover those walls with some dark, exotic wood from the Amazon. Then put up some game heads from Africa and Asia, maybe a water buffalo and a Bengal tiger. Then let's have a long liquor cabinet (anodized gun metal gray), a big brushed stainless cigar humidor, a nice full gun rack and some brass spittoons. Oh, yeah, a real zebra skin on the floor. Now it's a worthy stateroom.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot... A big painting of John Paul Jones and crew boarding a Brit ship with ropes and grapplers and on the opposite wall, a similar painting of Bull Halsey attacking and sinking a Japanese ship at sea. Everything lit dramatically like in a military museum.
