Sally, serving as a translator for Coalition Forces, holds up an coin she recieved from the commander of the unit she serves. The 28-year-old was born in Baghdad and has been working with the Coalition since last year. A price on her head was levied by her family for cooperating with U.S. forces.
Sally, a translator for the Army, holds a stuffed tiger that belonged to her 5-year-old son. All that she had when she ran away from her abusive husband was the clothes on her back, a picture of her children and this tiger that her son slept with everynight. Sally is serving with Coalition Forces as a translator, despite a warrant for her death placed by her father.
Sally reads her favorite passage out of the Bible, "Workmen receive the offerings." Sally has been a translator for the Coalition Forces since the war last year and has recently converted from Islam to Christianity. Her cooperation with Coalition Forces caused her to be beaten, disavowed and her life threatened by her own family.

Sometimes I hate the press. There is enough info for her family to figure her out and the picture of the stuffed tiger, too!
"I lost everything I have, but I have gained so much," Sally said. "If I had to do it over again I would. I help the Americans, help my people."
The editor should have known that there is no comma in this sentence: I help the Americans help my people.
May the Lord bless her and allow her and her children to come to the USA.

She should come to the U.S., teach people here enough Iraqi language to be translators there and multiply her talents, as well as keep her safety for a while.

Isn't there a way we can reunite her with her children and bring them all to the United States? It's the least we can do for everything she has gone through.

Unfreakinbelievable. The word heroic pales in comparison to what she is. IF there is any hope for this part of the world, it is because there are people like her who live there.
I'd love for her to come to America. I think she should be granted an emergency hearing or something and get that VISA!

F*cking hooah. This woman has more guts than the entire Democratic party that wishes her dead.
By the way, where's NOW praising this brave woman? Where's the feminists, decrying the system that allows her abuse?
This woman understands the three greatest forces for good in the history of mankind: Christianity, democracy, and capitalism. Go Sally!

Why is it that the *men* have all the guns in that hellhole of a country? It's time the women started getting some guns of their own, and started using them. Perhaps a few "burning beds" will get their attention.

"I was thirteen years old," Sally said. "I will never forget this... he sits beside me and says, 'Honey, you must marry.'" Three days later she was married to her fathers' friend, 27-years her senior. How sick and primitive is it over in Muslim land? Sick sick sick sick sick.
