Who did? Who is he of whom you post?
No, they aren't. They just happen to support Bush and you don't.
He's speaking of President Bush, not one of his favorite people.
Are you talking about the class action suit originally filed in 1996 and rejected without hearing by the Supreme Court in 2003? The one which despite getting "90% of the benefits sought" with Tricare For Life enacted in 2002, is still being pursued because having to pay up to $100 per month for healthcare means the healthcare isn't free? That class action lawsuit?
The "he" is the POTUS, G.W. Bush
You are absolutely correct in your observation. For the very first time in my adult life and voting for President since 1956, I will indeed vote against the Republican candidate. The reasons would fill two or three yellow pages, single spaced. I agonize over the necessity to do so but my conscience and dedication to what I consider honor and patriotic devotion to the country that I have diligently and well served my entire adult life dictates the conclusion. That is my own subjective analysis, I certainly recognize most others on FR reach a contrary result.

Well, to be honest, the current administration has not been totally faithful to veterans. Healthcare cuts have been made and numerous Vets have gone to congress and to the court system to halt the decline of their benifits. I won't blame GW personally...but the adminstration has not been a 4-star supporter of the American veteran. I won't dare say that Kerry is any better. This is a case that congress sadly must venture into and force the adminstration to reprioritize their assets.
As for the medal of honor winners and their petition of support. I compare it greatly against various other groups that have come out for Kerry...except these guys are just regular Americans who gave something extra to save a fellow GI...and for that, I value their signature slightly more than General McPeak who personally hung his hat on the Kerry nail.
Maybe you can provide some tangible evidence that John Kerry will be able to fund free healthcare for our veterans.
Thank you Eagle, for the link! Off to fix some grits and eggs!
You're entitled to your own analysis but you're not entitled to your own unique set of facts. It should be incumbent on you to post the history of the pre 1954 enlisted career men and the judicial cases concerning same so that others may make their own decisions.
Subjective and objective are two different things, no?
Thanks kindly for the wonderful heads-up on this :-)
GI Bill funding has increased drastically and so did active duty salaries since Bush took office. I dont know anything specific about retirement benefits but Michael Moore had to lie about a bunch of stuff in his movie. If there were really a bunch of cuts, how come Moore wasnt able to cite them and instead had to post a bunch of lies?
2 of the 3 are Democractic Senate colleagues.
