"Uh..the Russian Embassy is in DC and I could be wrong about this, but the Consulate is in San Francisco."

On Green St. just above the 'Cow Hollow' section of town. Not that I'd know this..or anything about the massive short-wave radio antennas they installed on the roof and tried to hide behind 4'x8' sheets of plywood back in the mid-80's.

Nope...don't know a thing about that. Not a thing.

You must have been in San Francisco about that time. Do you remember the hell that KGO-TV took for the promos for a Channel 7 News Special Report, "Green Street Reds," about the mysterious goings-on at the Russian Consulate? The report was broadcast shortly after the Soviets shot down the Korean Air Lines Flight 007, and the promos showed Santa and his reindeer flying over San Francisco. Then a Russian missile hit the sleigh, and it exploded in a fireball.

Needless to say, the rancor over the promo overshadowed the report itself.
