Greenwood is a bad RINO, but he's from a great district! I'm from VA, but I live here in Bucks County, having moved out here from neighboring Mongomery County. I LOVE this area. It's beautiful, although it is rapidly getting built up. Taxes are going up rapidly too. Just got our property tax bill and it had gone up over 25% in the last year alone. Ugh! The public schools up here are pretty good too, although some districts are better than others. They should be good; our teachers are some of the highest paid in the country. Doylestown has a RINO state rep. too. The good school system is pulling former dems in from lower Bucks and Philadelphia, so it seems the area here is getting more liberal all the time. We have new neighbors that just moved here from NYC and they have a Kerry sign out. The district went for Gore in the last election. Just a decade or two ago, it was one of the state's conservative Republican bastions. When are you going to arrive? Welcome!

Conti is a horrible liberal. He was a special speaker in one of my classes several years ago and he stated that PA needs to have a constitutional convention to weaken the concept of private property. I couldn't believe that I was actually hearing him say that!

I was just over on DU and they are trying to raise money for Ginny Shroeder (did I spell her name right)? I've seen several instances lately where national money is being raised for dem candidates to defeat conservative PA lawmakers. An acquaintance of my husband's has already declared against Sen. Santorum in 2006.

The PA-08 is made for the likes of Specter and Hoeffel. I wonder who will carry it in the Senate race. I suspect the GOP, if they are serious about holding the seat, would nominate an Arlen Spectoer type. No way, a Melissa Hart type would win here. Anyway as much as a RINO Greenwood is, he did honor his 12 year term limit pledge. I guess that no longer makes him a RINO.

A good bench? I hope that means you can find a veteran who is a Reagan-Republican.

"Greenwood may have a "closet problem."

I heard the same rumor about Greenwood's predecessor, former(1977-81, 1983-93) Congressman Peter Kostmayer.
