HOLY CRAP.......this just gets better and better!
don't forget that Clinton brought Berger & Bruce Lindsey along with him when he testified before the 9/11 commission - the media make a big thing about Bush + Cheney testifying together but that little tidbit of info seemed to have escaped their scrutiny. Now we know why Clinton brought Berger - he needed his assurance and counsel as to which documents Berger successfully stole & took to his home to be shredded before they testified.
5 different times he took documents, he is sloppy often :-)
Happy anniversary HOWLIN : )
This makes you wonder what the Clintons have on their appointments to make them so loyal as to engage in a coverup....
I dunno about that. Because....more than likely nothing is going to happen to him. And more than likely nobody is going to vigorously "go after" him, and the Clinton Administration.
It's all just too easy...If you make the trail a paperwork snowstorm...and do a little shredding here, and "oops, we lost that" there. They've got away with it, and will continue to get away with it.
It just keeps getting worse, IMO.
I'm glad to see that Drudge still has this as his top story.
Ping me to anything new on this, if you will. I am babysitting today and can't be on the computer too much. Rats!
And it just KEEPS on coming! Rush called Berger Sandy Burglar! REpeated thefts...and no way is stuffing classified documents in his pants and socks an "inadvertent" action.
Whoa...
Poohbah, can you believe this ****?
GOOD GRIEF!!!
May be stating the obvious here, but note the distinction between what they admit to: Taking the notes, that's deliberate. Taking actual documents, that's "inadvertent."
I think the authorities have friend Berger all but hog-tied in pretty ribbons on this one. So maybe now he's trying to cop a plea (as well as to control the story out front of a plea agreement or indictment). I hope the government prosecutors don't go for it unless the overstuffed Sandy gives them plenty in return.
In the meantime, across town at the Grand Jury, I hope they end the silly probe into the Plame-name-blame-game.
