AUSTIN -- Election officials on Tuesday announced the Libertarian Party has met the requirements to get its candidates on the Nov. 2 ballot in Texas.
As a third party, the Libertarians were required to submit a petition with 45,540 signatures of registered Texans who did not vote in the GOP or Democratic primaries.
Secretary of State Geoff Connor said Libertarians produced more than 82,000 valid signatures.
Austin computer programmer Michael Badnarik is the Libertarian nominee for president.
The Libertarian Party stresses the rights of individuals over the power of government, and a foreign policy of noninterference.
Here is the complete Libertarian Party platform. I would be very interested to see what Freepers think about it. I've found most conservatives can't find much to disagree with...Of course, we have a lot of republicans today that couldn't care less about limited government, so I'm sure a few people will hate these ideas:

looks like nobody wants to face the pain...realizing that the GOP has abandoned conservatism..
