I don't believe we can post from the Ames Tribune but thought you would find this article interesting. Note that there is nothing of substance in the article.

Be sure to read the reader comment after the article.

Great letter. The guy's punctuation and spelling are a bit lacking, but it reads like stream of thought. "stratevarious violin" is priceless though.
I'd say this guy has it right on the money about the other guy getting a bit caught up in the limelight. Interesting how he mentioned twice he's "gotta make a living". I sense he'd rather not work for free. I know Kerry doesn't pay these guys so it'll seem more "geniune", but he oughta do something for them.

Thanks, but those weren't mine. Either the page hasn't updated, or they're not gonna post mine. (I kept it clean. Honest!)

It's a classic!:

Name: jack hoover

Date: Jul, 20 2004

its a case of mr thorson getting a oppurtunity to be in the limelight. as a former vietnam veteran, 2 complete tours of duty 24 months as oppossed to kerrys 4 months, i find it despicable that while i and others were over there doing our duty, kerry was reaping in purple hearts and silver stars like a kid grabbing candy at a 4th of july parade. 4 months and this guy comes out like audie murphy in one of the safest places in vietnam. i submit to you kerry had visions of the body politic early in his livelihood, and his whole life has been orchestrated by taking advantage of photo oppurtunities. like the one where he struts out of a tent carrying his m-16 ( like a sissy) . i was there 2 years and i have black and white pictures taken with a polaroid and this phony has a movie camera following him around. he's a joke. then he rides the vietnam horse till it wasn't popular anymore and turns his back on his fellow soldiers by going before a sub-committee and bad mouths our efforts and calls them atrosities which he witnessed and maybe took part of? i submit to you he lied about that in which case he shouldn't be our president, or he told the truth and therefore shouldn't qualify either. in basketball terms-thats boxing out.he is a phony weak person for what he has orchestrated. he is playing the liberals like a stratevarious violin. maybe you buy this guys music but he is seriously out of tune. me? i would rather choke on the punch....

There are only about a dozen Conservatives in Story County. Hoover is obviously one of them.

Michael Gartner printed this letter to show Hoover's sloppy writing. Nothing more.

I wrote an opinion to the Ames Tribune but it did not get posted. I then emailed Neznanski to inquire why my comments weren't posted. However, I don't expect to hear back from this clown.
