The buffet is awesome. Glad I just went there. Won't be going back. Plenty more to choose from.

Having e-mailed the Aladdin's Bill Timmins to thank him for tossing Ronstadt, I'm now going to tell the new ownership just what I think of the announcement that they will be pleased to offer Ms. Ronstadt's political views as part of their "entertainment."

I will be in Vegas in September. I've never been in the Aladdin. I would have considered stopping in but if this is their position, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Well Michael Moore is cheering the terrorists in Iraq to victory over the United States and is accepting assistance from Hezbollah in promoting his film. Maybe it is proper for him to take the stage at an arab themed casino.
Maybe he could blow himself up for a big finale.

ping!
A.S.'s buddy Robert Earl welcomes Ronstadt and Michael Moore.
This is the guy that sits on the board of his Inner-City Games Foundation... along with Reiss, Danny Glover, and a few other great folks.

City Games Foundation??
Oh, please. Who in their right mind would grant a 501 for that??? Founded in 1991, The Inner-City Games (ICG) was formed in Los Angeles in response to the growing number of young people living in poverty and confronting the negative influences that pervade throughout Americas inner cities. In 1995, Arnold Schwarzenegger created the Inner-City Games Foundation (ICGF), expanding the program nationwide and leading the organization as Chairman.
Inner-City Games afterschoolallstars.org
Schwarzenegger concluded his Orlando visit with a reception to honor the Orlando Inner-City Games community partnerships at the City of Orlando Rotunda at Orlando City Hall including remarks by City Commissioner and Orlando ICG Chair, Betty Wyman and Planet Hollywood CEO and Orlando ICG Vice Chair, Robert Earl. Arnold also presented awards to outstanding Orlando ICG partners and volunteers.

She's going to face diminishing returns. Even if conservative fans didn't hear of her Christian/conservative bashing followup interview, they at least now have advance word that she requests that they all hug Michael Moore and embrace his new bit of agitprop.
The people who attended in Vegas were not informed of that part of her "act". They were also fraudulently led to believe (as was the casino) that it would be a greatest Rondstadt hits show, not a greatest hits of the 20th century show.

As a Vegas buffet guru, Aladdin is in the Big 3 group with Paris and Bellagio for best in Vegas. Mirage used to be excellent but then they changed recently and I hear its now overrated. Dunno. Rio gets alot of publicity but how much of that is bought and paid for, who knows. I was there a long time ago and it was mediocre, it could be good now but I wouldn't know.

In any event, with Planet Hollywood taking over, the place will likely stay in the toilet. Bad move.
I understand the Aladdin went DEEP into debt for the renovation so this is not exactly a surprise even though I mentioned it was was. I had thought that since they made it to the 5 year point they passed infant mortality but I guess not.

Planet Hollywood CEO Robert Earl of Orlando, Fla., said he'd like to take Moore up on the filmmaker's offer to join Ronstadt on Aladdin's stage and sing "America the Beautiful" I thought that libs were against torture.
