Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
"We respect artists' creativity and support their rights to express themselves," Earl said in a statement Wednesday.
So do I. I also respect my own right to yell "shut up and sing you stupid fat cow has-been" during her diatribe against Bush.
Is there some kind of stupid virus going around among entertainment executives on the left. Does someone really need to explain to executives who are in the business of entertaining people that you don't gratuitously piss off half of your audience and expect to stay in business?
If that's true, Freepers will never set foot in the Aladdin under its new management.
"It's a real conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I'd rather not know."
- Linda Ronstadt
Then why spout your LIBERAL points of view at your own concerts! What a bigot she is!
Maybe having an Arabian Nights program while your country is waiting for the next attack from that quarter isn't exactly the best idea. Perhaps quality business decisions like this are related to why they're bankrupt.
I imagine a lot of people are cancelling their reservations even as we speak.
Hay! It's Earl the Pearl's dough. Once he's licensed and in control, he can try and turn around a "loser" property. He won't get a dime from my Family and maybe 50 million others, but it's his choice. Go for it schmuck!
I will definitely not be going to this joint again if this happens.
Tragedy, it was a nice place to stroll the shops and eat the buffet but oh well.
Well, scratch the Aladdin hotel off the list of places to stay when visiting Las Vegas.
The more insanity I see from the left wackos the more I'm convinced they run the MEGA business establishments here in our country! This is SCARY STUFF!
I thank Planet Hollywood CEO Robert Earl of Orlando, Fla. for the heads-up, he's stupider than Ronstadt. LOL!
Wonderful!
After telling my sister to make sure that she books all her and her hubby's accomodations during their trips to Vegas at the Alladin, I can now suggest that they stay elsewhere.
They are older, retired, and have many friends who make frequent trips to Vegas throughout the year. And they will be more than happy to pass the word along.
I'm sure her manager and publicist are just doing back flips about now.
Awful lot of business folks going out of their way to alienate their customers. I wonder if they're teaching that in business schools these days--"How to Lose it All 101". They could bring in guest speakers like the Dixie Twits, Whoopsie Goldberg, Alec Baldwin--heck, the entire course could be taught by entertainment industry guest speakers.
Having e-mailed the Aladdin's Bill Timmins to thank him for tossing Ronstadt, I'm now going to tell the new ownership just what I think of the announcement that they will be pleased to offer Ms. Ronstadt's political views as part of their "entertainment."
I will be in Vegas in September. I've never been in the Aladdin. I would have considered stopping in but if this is their position, I will spend my money elsewhere.
Well Michael Moore is cheering the terrorists in Iraq to victory over the United States and is accepting assistance from Hezbollah in promoting his film. Maybe it is proper for him to take the stage at an arab themed casino.
Maybe he could blow himself up for a big finale.
ping!
A.S.'s buddy Robert Earl welcomes Ronstadt and Michael Moore.
This is the guy that sits on the board of his Inner-City Games Foundation... along with Reiss, Danny Glover, and a few other great folks.
Sure invite her back!
Hopefully she'll be singing to an EMPTY room.
