Steve Gill was interviewing Donald Rumsfeld on Iraq and in the last question Steve asked him about the reports of nuclear missiles found in Iraq. Rumsfeld's comment was interesting that it did not contain an outright denial.
Rumsfeld said, "I've not seen anything definitive".
Am I reading too much into this in thinking that our government is VERY interested and has not discounted the reports?
Of course they're intersted, it's just that Rummy and the Bush Administration would rather deal in facts than rumor. The Dims get a free pass with outright lies, our guys get slammed for honest mistakes...
LOL! Wouldn't it be perfect timing to interrupt the convention just as F'n Kerry is accepting the coronation to announce that nuclear missiles had been found in Iraq? I suppose the 'Rats spin would be "So? He didn't USE them, did he?"
I'm going to remain hopeful but not get too excited until something more concrete surfaces. If, however, it's true there WOULD be a more opportune time than now to have the pictures of the nukes splashed across the world's TV screens.
Perhaps a better time would be the day of Kerry's acceptance speech following several days of what promises to be repeated screeds of "BUSH LIED" by foaming-at-the-mouth, enraged Democrat Socialists.
I'll grant you, however, that it's very interesting that Rumsfeld didn't dismiss it out of hand. He certainly had the opportunity to do so.
As we have all heard this week, it's all about TIMING. It would be much more effective for Rumsfeld to make the official announcement during late October.
LOLPCTMN!Absolutely on target.
