I guess Peter Fenn will now have to eat his words.

I saw that! It's the only time I ever saw Hannity have to pull the plug on a guest. They cut the video and audio of the moron because he just wouldn't shut up.

Hannity told him something like, "You will not be invited back if you can't wait your turn".

One other thing which has amazed me about this is that 99.9% of the pundits out there defending him say they have not spoken with him. Yet, they "know" all of the media reports are false (i.e. lies) because they know Sandy Berger to be an honest man.

Last night on Hardball some bimbo was defending him (maybe his former press secretary or his former chief of staff). She said she had not spoken with Berger yet she was refuting press reports because she "knew" him.

She followed Saxby Chambliss who was discussing security pocedures every, single DC insider knows from the highest to the lowest.

Well guess who bimbo brought into the discussion? Non other than our former, triple amputee Senator, Max Cleland. Who was Saxby to throw stones after what he did to Max in the last election? I guess Saxby's big crime is that he challenged a dem incumbent and won.

[BTW-as a Georgian I am sick an tired of that lie being perpetuated in by the dems. Max Cleland was not voted out because the "he is not a Patriot" card was dealt. I do not recall that it was a particulary nasty campaign. Max was voted out because he was too liberal for Georgia and in the light of 9/11 we wanted someone strong on National Defense. He has become pathetic. He must be so hungry for approval and acceptance to allow himself to be used in such a pathetic way. I have always heard he was a truly nice man, politics aside. My take on it is that he is a very lonely man.]

"Hey big boy, is that a top secret document in your pants or are you just glad to see me?" - anonymous security guard at the National Archives.

Here's hoping Berger didn't have a videophone trained on any important documents.

The phone calls may be important in another sense; it represents another violation of the National Security laws, for, AFAIK, regular phones or other commuunication devices are NEVER permitted in a classified vault, for obvious reasons. With a cell phone, an individual would have the means of reading classified information to an un-cleared outsider, not to mention that the cell phone call could be surrepticiously monitored by malevalent organizations.

I am extremely surprised that Berger wasn't searched, and his cell phone taken away, before he entered the facility.

Reading these details coming out, one is amazed at how stupid the Dems are and how lucky GW and the GOP are.

Burglar and his friends no longer run the shop, the old tactics just won't wash.

Meanwhile if the Media try to protect them, which they are already, that too will backfire.

Well, I guess now the 'rats will have to change their spin to, "Bush and Cheney made him do it, for all their Big Oil buddies and Halliburton--and because Michael Moore scared them." (Does that about cover it?)

Those damn cell phones SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED, period, in such a classified place. That's ludicrous.

Guards at the National Archives told the FBI that Berger was observed stuffing his socks with handwritten notes about files he reviewed that were going to the Sept. 11 panel, the News said.

Then why the heck did they allow this??!! They should be summarily fired.

"the archives are underground. do you know any cell phones that work underground?"

Hmmm. I work in DC. Switched to Verizon b/c its the only carrier that works for me in the Metro tunnels. Don't know about underground in Archives - but then why would the guards aquiesce to Berger's request for privacy for phonecalls?

"Trivial point - I think it was *notes* in socks, not the actual memo's."

Hope you're being sarcastic 'cause it's not trivial just because they weren't the actual memos. With classified information, there is no difference.

And if he was using his cell phone, it was probably one of those that shoots and sends digital images. Hillary was probably at the receiving end.

Hmmm - private cell phone calls. Any bets that he might have had the capability to send pics of documents to verify that they were the ones that needed to become part of his underwear??? This may explain a fairly recent edict by Rummy that cell phones are not allowed in classified areas and military folks will not have video capabilities on cell phones used for duty...

Wow, took his cell phone into a secured room. Even Ron Kuby said he never heard of that being allowed.

Wonder if he was dumb enough to use the cell phone???
