The commission's report concludes that "Jarrah's objective was to crash his airliner into the symbols of the American Republic -the Capitol or the White House. He was defeated by the alerted, unarmed passengers of United 93."

And Kerry is only too happy to help them achieve their evil goals. How soon people forget.

If those people on Flight 93 didn't perform the most selfless act, the already horrible day could have (and most likely would have) resulted in a tragedy far beyond the scope of one additional terrorist act.

Who knows what decisions would have been made by our governing body after a hit to the White House or a different prominent location. I am sure the decisions would have been as calculated and as comprehensive, yet cooler heads were able to prevail.

Without these amazing people and their heroic actions, the world would have been a different place today almost 3 years later.

Passengers on the other hijacked planes also had made cell calls. On Flight 175, passenger Peter Hanson called his father, Lee Hanson, two times.

"It's getting bad, Dad," he said in his second call. "I think we are going down. I think they intend to go to Chicago or someplace and fly into a building. Don't worry, Dad. If it happens, it'll be very fast."

This is the first time I heard that a passenger on another flight was aware that it was going to be crashed into a target.

Too bad the passengers did have guns. They might have survived the ordeal.

Shouting "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest," Ziad Jarrah...

This Allah buddy of theirs is a real @$$hole. I'm glad the astronauts stuck the American Flag in his eye and left their boot prints on his forehead.

unarmed

The use of this word disturbs me. It's purpose here is clear.

Flight 93 will forever be The Flight of Heroes.

A National Monument should be erected on the spot outside of Shanksville, PA where it crashed, but the simple fact is "..we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men [and women] who struggled here have consecrated it far above out poor power to add or detract."

Not a surprise. The SOP of terrorists is when they're in trouble, blow everyone to pieces. They are homicide bombers, after all, and killing the people on UA 93 was just as good to them as if they had hit a Washington building because they slaughtered a few infidels, as they always wish in their terror attacks.

Note how Palestinian homicide bombers goal is to destroy as many infidels. Here, the Al Qaeda terrorists whacked a few infidels.

Even in such a serious situation the son was concerned with his Father's anxiety and tried to calm him. Man, what a body blow [for the Father] it must've been to have this conversation. At least he was able to speak to him one last time before he died...a hero.
