Wow, thanks Tonk - I hadn't seen that site before. A quote from there sure sounds true to my experiences with VN vets:
"From my research in the 1980s, including interviews with VA psychiatrists, I know that many suicides and other less than natural deaths were linked to the vets'
experience of "spiritual darkness," as William P. Mahedy, a former army chaplain in Vietnam, called this. This darkness has two dimensions: the rejection by the vets'
fellow citizens, and the false perception that God has turned his back on them.
For decades after the Vietnam War, thousands of veterans have lived in self-imposed isolation in the woods of northern Minnesota, Washington or Oregon states..."
So many have suffered from their service. And Kerry's 'service' is null and void compared to theirs, in my estimation.
Thanks Tonk for spreading the news, as you always do!!
.
...Upon his return from Vietnam even then Presidential Hopeful JOHN KERRY called for the United States to be branded a War Criminal by first laying a case on National TV to label us American Soldiers fighting for Freedom there...
...War Criminals.
...This directly affected the perceptions of the American People about our Protectors in Time of War and brought them to the ranks of our Nation's Homeless & Suicide Deaths for decades.
...As CBS, NBC and ABC-TV Networks remain silent. STILL.
The Enemy is now Within...
and always has been.
