I have to tell you, I am not at all fond of the LA Times. No shock to many I am sure. But, had this not been in the Military Early Bird news I would not have known about this article.
Troubling may not be the right word but the keyword Iraq must have been why they put it in there, anyway, it is just one of those gut feelings that is troubling. Thanks for letting me share it.

"A poll by the groups shows the Massachusetts Democrat leading Bush by a ratio of nearly 2 to 1 among Latino voters a group whose numbers have grown 20% since 2000 but whose breakdown by party has stayed virtually the same since the last presidential election. "
Sure glad all that 'open borders' pandering has paid off...

I suppose I should have been a bit more clear, that not only do I really not read the LA Times I also don't buy into their polling etc.
My concern is why they posted it in the Military Early Bird. I am reading more into it I am sure.

No wonder the Demonrats are blase about our southern border (alas, Bush is blase too). The Demonrats seem well along toward their goal of fashioning a monoolithic bloc among Latinos to rival their stranglehold on black voters. This does not bode well for the US and we conservatives when one ponders that Latinos will vastly outnumber black voters in the near future. When that happens, the 40 years in the wilderness experienced by the Republican party in the last century is likely to replay.

Not the Hispanics I talk to. They seem to think it is better to go after the terrorist and that Bush did what he had to do.
I think these polls are just like what showed during the Reagan/carter election.

The Mexican equivalent of democrats is the PRI, an institutionalized and corrupt party. Imho, most Mexicans in this country are viscerally opposed to PRI, and more likely to think like Republicans.
Democrats can be expected to lie about that, of course... it's part of their [lack of] character.

I must tell you, I have found several of the posts enlightening. It ended up moving it towards a different discussion.
I do not doubt that polls don't go on, but, I remain skeptical.

Yep, Bush bent over for the special interests and it bit him in the butt. To wit:
Winking at illegal immigration - Latinos still won't support him;
Kissing up to Fat Teddy on education - Kennedy still bashes him and Dems still have the issue;
Giving the libs CFR, hoping the SCOTUS would bail him out - oops!
Bush got played in so many ways.

Isn't the "Kaiser Family Foundation" very left wing or am I confusing them with one of the other liberal "foundations"?

"I don't believe the poll for a second".
You display your brilliance in your negative opinion of this poll from the pages of the LA Times. To use an old quote, "The truth is not in them"!

You display your brillianceThank you, but "aw shucks" also. Republicans are the true party of the underdog. And if there's a group of underdogs in America, it's the Mexican immigrants, God bless them. They come or came here to avoid extreme poverty and for the sake of their families left down there; either party would be lucky to have them, once they can vote. In my experience, they're church-going, miss their families in Mexico, expect nothing from government, and are worthy Republicans. Arriba, Arriba, Andale Mexico y America juntos.

If there's any truth to this poll, it's probably because of the left wing tilt of the Spanish language media in this country.

I'm surprised Latinos are soft brained and have assimilated the psychopathic liberals' spin. If they haven't been in this country very long then it might be easier to fool them...they won't remember what is basic history that the rest of us know.
...that the liberals saw Saddam's WMDs, documented them and then tucked tail when Saddam told them to leave Iraq.
Perhaps they will realize that they are being fooled by election day. The liberals are at war with recorded history and all the Republicans must do is remind the people of the facts and pointedly expose the liars.
