Kerry's medals were all awarded according to whatever protocol was in place for the awards at the time. As far as that goes, they are all award by the appropriate process at the time.
That isn't the point. The point is that people shouldn't be putting in *their own* chits for medals. It is technically workable, but it displays a lack of class and lack of respect for the others that went before.
That is the thing that has always bothered me. I would have never occurred to me that anyone would actually have the gall to submit his/her own name on a application for an award for valor.
Oh heck, I know that the awards program has been subject to abuse for as long as it has been in existence -- but every other case I have heard about involves people just writing up their friends/classmate/coworkers and so forth.
But to actually have the nerve to walk into the office, write up the paperwork with your own name on top? That's taking chutzpah a level beyond anything I can actually imagine.
More importantly, it shows a lack of humility and integrity. Kerry's one arrogant, dishonest s.o.b., and we don't need those types running our country anymore. Clinton did enough damage. And believe it or not, I think even Bill Clinton has more personal integirty than Kerry does. John Kerry will do anything, anything at all, for power. Even to the point of marrying a rich widow for her money and flip-flopping on every issue according to which way the political wind is blowing that day.
