Controversial Staffer Clouds 9/11 ProbeClinton's former IG, Eleanor Hill, was staff director of the Joint Intelligence Committee who decided what information the 9/11 committee members would see and which witnesses would be called to testify. She also helped cover up Chinagate...Yikes!

The timing is suspicious (TM)
Good idea trademarking that...the D's could claim it since they use it so frequently and possession being 9/10 of the law or something! <8^)

"Wht on earth? Did Clinton take nothing seriously?"]
The world is an egalitarian playing field for those with the right papers. . .Clinton had the presidential papers; and he loved to play.
Loyalty? To self only. Classic Liberal empty suit. Simple as that.

Morning, ravingnutter. Thanks for the ping.
Are we ever going to see an end to the Clinton dirtiness? I just feel like it's still going on and will never end and am getting discouraged.

I hope someone is keeping score. This makes #4 in as many weeks (or thereabouts).

I thought they 'debugged' these offices and WhiteHouse when GW went in. . .surely.
. . .and it does not seem unreasonable to assume that this should have been NEWS at the time. . .

The answer is in the story...
The sweep revealed that a wire had been installed inside the wall structure leading to and from the ninth and tenth floors of the DoDIG (areas which comprise the Defense Criminal Investigative Service and the personal office space of the inspector general)."
See my #78 for info on Clinton's Inspector General, who just so happens to be the head of the joint House and Senate Intelligence Committee investigation into 9/11.

This one is pretty easy.
1996. China. Defense Technology Transfers.
Bugs in place to keep tabs on what the DoD IG knows and is doing as related to ANY investigations of China & Tech Transfers.

I am actually encouraged that all of this seems to be coming out in a steady drip...drip...drip fashion. I have the feeling we are in for a surprise soon.

1996. China. Defense Technology Transfers. Yup, you are correct...see posts #78 and #81 for info on the specific individual, Eleanor Hill, Clinton's IG, who helped cover up Chinagate. She now is involved in the 9/11 investigation.

Great minds think alike(g). I hadn't even read your posts until after I posted mine.
It's a pretty simple concept. If you have people who can damage you, you find a way to know what they know so you can find out ahead of time if they are "on" to you.
The DoD IG was an area that word of the technology transfer could REALLY hurt the Clintons right before an election. So they got someone to bug the offices so they could keep tabs on what the IG was doing.

a Muslim who was employed as an auditor and granted a "top-secret" security clearance was not an American citizen. "He possesses a Social Security number tied to multiple confirmed aliases," a May 2002 memo said. Another paper said, "Using the improper granted interim clearance, [the employee] visited numerous installations where he had access to sensitive information. ... The Department of Justice Joint Terrorism Task Force is currently considering a criminal investigation into this matter."
And some really want these criminals back in office?
Very scary since many of these bureaucrats are still there.
He inherited a bureaucracy of auditors and investigators that Republicans think is more loyal to Democrats than to their party.
Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican and a longtime investigator of Defense Department wrongdoing, conducted an investigation that highlighted an inspector general office that falsified its investigative reports and fabricated witness statements in at least two investigations in the mid-1990s.
To: kattracks
Mr. Schmitz, a former aide to Attorney General Edwin Meese III in the Reagan presidency, did not take office until the second year of the Bush era, because Democrats leery of his conservative credentials delayed a final confirmation vote. Hmm. Sounds as though they knew they were about to be shut down by a competent person, and they didn't want THAT to happen!
I'm wondering; had this office never been swept for bugs before? It seems that should be a regular occurence for ALL of the Pentagon!
