Kerry defends wife over saucy retort
Washington Times ^ | 7/27/04 | James G. Lakely

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry said his wife, Teresa, was right to tell a reporter to "shove it" when she was questioned Sunday night about her speech decrying the loss of political civility.
"I think my wife speaks her mind appropriately," Mr. Kerry said yesterday of his wife, whose reputation as a loose cannon was on display on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.

Some Democrats are concerned about Mrs. Kerry's moment in the spotlight at 10 p.m. tonight, when she speaks to thousands of convention delegates and millions watching on television.
"Yeah, there are people who are worried," said one Democrat who has helped organize Kerry campaign fund-raisers. "She, in general, is not a perceived liability. But as a public spokesperson, she is perceived as a liability. I think a lot of people cross their fingers when she talks."

This ass-breath is so pathetic it's beyond using four letter words. Did Nancy, Barbara, or Laura, ever get into these convoluted situations and use filthy expletives towards another person?

Then again, there were reported sightings of The Beast throwing ashtrays at The Stained-One. Y'all remember that fiasco?

And now some are asking us to look at Botox-Man and her nutsy wife for the next four years?

God Help us!

I am so hoping that Theresa shows the nation what she is really liked. She lies about what she said but of course, the truth never is important to a Democrat.

TaRAsa is an example that money can't buy class. She tells a reporter to shove it simply because he asked her to explain what she DID SAY. As my dear departed mother used to say, "She's softer than a sneakerful of sh!t".

This classless loser couldn't shine Laura's shoes.

It was fascinating to watch her try to bully the reporter into accepting her version of reality. He was polite but she was escalating, I think she would have struck him if she could. Then she sought him out to tell him to shove it. It was not filthy, she didn't use an expletive. It was actually worse. It was a bully in action. And it was not "saucy" which is sorta cute. It was ugly.

Yeecchhhh! {shudder!}

These awful Democrat women! I can't ever imagine Laura coming anywhere near that low.

These people are reprehensible and their arrogance knows no limits.

'Taking his name and joining the campaign effort, she nevertheless remained controversial.

"Politically, it's going to be Teresa Heinz Kerry, but I don't give a shit, you know?'' she said in an interview. "Swearing is a good way to relieve tension,'' she added. '

nice quote, from another post here today...

"Swearing is a good way to relieve tension,'' she added.

Just ask Cheney.

This is so ridiculous. The Democrats get all huffy when Cheney drops the F-word, but then defend her. The Republicans stand tall behind Cheney, but drop their jaws at this. One would think that there isn't anything important to discuss.

It really is annoying to see how the media play the story, though. First off, the constant description of the reporter as coming from a "conservative" paper. When do you ever see the liberal reporters so identified? If a reporter (like, say, Adam Clymer) is a liberal, is there no requirement for civility? I missed that part of Teresa's speech. Perhaps Vice President Cheney should have pointed out that Senator Leahy is a liberal. In fact, VP Cheney did note that he was responding to Leahy's hypocrisy in savaging him publicly, then trying to be pals in private. Seems to me that explanation didn't satisfy the liberals, nor their media cohorts. The second issue is the description of the reporter "pressing" her... she came back, in anger, to talk to him, even pushing people aside to get back and confront him. The third issue is Teresa's blatant lie that she never used the word "un-American." I find that particularly odd because on the tape of her speech, she seems really to hesitate before using the word, as if she really had to think hard about it. Then shortly afterwards, she can't even remember using it? Does she have some kind of memory problem, too?

It sort of reminded me of Kerrey and Kirsten. Kirsten was polite and Kerrey was bullying.

I have yet to figure out what the reporter was questioning her about. I don't know either version.

The "shove it" wasn't even as bad as the repeated insistence that she hadn't said what she said and the accusation that he was putting words in her mouth.

She said it, we all heard it (if you watched the video) - who are we gonna believe our eyes and ears or her lyin mouth? This is the kind of shell game we can look forward to?

The Kerry's will be split by this time next year.
