After listening to his rant, I sent the following note to my Senators and Congressman suggesting that they call the bluff of Mr. Clinton and those others calling for higher taxes.
"In response to the complaints of Former President Clinton and others that they are taxed at an unfairly low rate, I suggest that legislation be introduced to provide that all taxpayers have the right to make an irrevocable election to be taxed at rates in effect prior to January 1, 2001 or rates in effect at the time of the election, whichever yields the higher tax. This legislation should be quite simple to structure and based on what they say, should have the support of a sufficient number of democrat members to insure immediate enactment."
