I am certainly feeling tired of all the non-stop terrorism in Iraq but I keep remembering that GW and Rumsfeld have repeatedly said that this will be a long, hard slog. Modern Americans are somewhat short on patience it seems to me. We have to learn as a nation how to stay the course and stop seeing each terrorist incident as a separate event like a plane crash if we are to avoid an escalating war inflicted upon us.
That's IT! That's what all the complaining about "unilateralism" and "macho cowboy posturing" and such is about! They know we're at war, they just can't stand all that nasty fighting.
We don't have to pander to anyone or change or standards...we just need to make sure the female voter gets the truth about who W is and what he will do for all Americans.
Black women may be a lost cause to the hustlers and hucksters like Sharpton, Kennedy, Queezie, Jackson, et al but everyone else is up for grabs are far as I'm concerned.
We have to get the message to them and then let the chips fall where they may.
Not that there's anything wrong with that (no surprises there) --as long as it stops there and doesn't escalate to:
thats precisely the appeal of Senator Nuance: His basic message to Americans is: lets return to normalcy. The radicalism of the past four years needs tempering. We need to consolidate the nation-building in Iraq and Afghanistan, before any new adventures against, say, Iran....
Boy, every word right on the money. Nov. is put up or shut up time. Kerry and four years of sloth will get hundreds of thousands if not millions of Americans killed.
Sobering, insightful, scary. Steyn doesn't nuance, and Nov.'s election is nothing less than life or death for America and western civilization.
President Bush has more than 50% of the female vote.
Only a girlie man and/or a misogynist would assume the majority of women in the USA would prefer a girlie man for POTUS.
Steyn is just amazing. He can make you laugh to the point of tears and simultaneously illuminate an important issue. He's an immensely talented writer.
Indeed. Education only magnifies their evil and makes it more potent and destructive than it might have otherwise been.
Metrosexual Superpower. A completely oxymoronic term.
Bump. Oh, for a world of sensible men like Steyn.
That comment was uncalled for SM.
In addition I would be interested in what factual basis you have for your following statement..
"President Bush has more than 50% of the female vote. "
Fair enough..glad you had a good scream and thanks for clarifying for me that I'm a girlie man and/or a misogynist.. I still think ad hominem attacks are uncalled for in a situation where nothing was stated but truth and facts.
The "factual basis" for my statement is my own observations and discussions with other women, coupled with the 2002 election results.
I certainly would like to believe this but that would mean that somehow we've picked up over 11 percentage points since the 2000 election.
Wonder what changed the female voter's minds?
Do you actually have a source other than conversations with personal friends to substantiate that the 2002 election results had the women in a majority on the Republican side?
Excellent article! I only wish I could write as effectively as Mr. Steyn.
You win.
I've tried to be civil but it's clear you are not rational.
Seek help.....
immediately!!!!!!
Troll and/or Misogynist!
LMAO!
Only a liberal misogynist thinks women are not capable of making rational decisions!
Have a nice...day.
Have a nice...day.
Somehow those two terms don't seem to go well with have a nice day and you really like to talk trashmouth, don't you? That's three times now. Why don't you go for four...and be more colorful and original. Come up with a new invective. Sara needs to wash her mom's mouth out with soap.
Again..for your own good and those around you...seek help.
And if you ever get the time to actually post something half sensible, provide some evidence for your spurious claims.
