When they start in on you, just calmly say to them, "John Kerry has been in the US Senate for 20 years. Before you continue with what you are saying, list for me his legislative and leadership accomplishments during his 20 years in the Senate."
That's my favorite one, and it works EVERY TIME. Its simple, to the point, and very direct. The will spin it, because that is what they do best, so adding that yes, kerry did serve in Nam, please answer my question. They will spin it again, and yes, I know what Bush has done, but I am asking about kerrys record in the senate....
I have used this several times, and have yet to get an answer. As a matter of fact, I was told, "there is no sense in talking to you because you wont listen"
Really??? and you wont answer the question.....
When they start in on you, just calmly say to them, "John Kerry has been in the US Senate for 20 years. Before you continue with what you are saying, list for me his legislative and leadership accomplishments during his 20 years in the Senate." This is good. But, it can be even simpler. When someone says to me, "I'm going to vote for John Kerry". I just ask them "why?". Haven't got an answer yet. You see, there is no reason to vote for sKerry.
